14 Valentines Day Gift Ideas

The perfect Valentines gift guide for your partner no matter the gender, they will love these for valentines. I used to think Valentines was a silly holiday but since making valentines sentimental, I have grown to love it. I was always one of those people who never had luck on Valentine's Day. Even if I had a boyfriend, it just never ended in a special day. Two years ago, I had the first decent Valentines with someone, and he wasn't even my boyfriend! But he is now ;) Last year was our first Valentines while dating and it was perfect. All the details on that date you can find in my Blog post: My Top 5 Date Nights and the date was #3: Romantic fine dining at Home. I have so many date ideas you can go to my TikTok @thegoldandcsizzle for more ideas. But as for a gift, I have all the ideas and links below <3

1. Matching Sweat sets with embroidery

Who doesn't love a matching couple? I haven't done this exact one, but we did do matching pajamas for Christmas, and it was so much fun. Definitely one you need to get pictures of the two of you in! I have been the most tempted to order on Esty from this company (click the link) Custom Etsy embroidered Sweat set, or the more affordable option grab a cheap sweatshirt and DIY the embroidery. A few ideas are your initial on the sleeve, your anniversary date on the back, or your pet names on the front.

2. Theme Basket

There are many ways to execute this gift whether you choose their Favorite Color theme basket (grab everything in their favorite color snacks, shoes, book, plant, Stanley cup), Bath Basket (Bath bomb, Bathrobe, Soaps, Lotions, Hair/skin care), Movie Night Basket (Movie gift card, DVD, Candy, Popcorn, Drinks), Cozy Basket (Blanket, Candle, Little Plant, Mugs). There are so many good options. Pick out a cute basket, grab a dollar store basket or paint a box, like I did!

3. Vinyl with our song

This one may be a bit niche. But if you have a vinyl lover with a record player, don't sleep on this idea. I used VinylArt.co to order the vinyl in the photo below, they have different sizes of Vinyl, and you choose your song and upload a photo to put on the vinyl. Our song is "Butterflies" by MAX we danced to it on a picnic date before we started dating officially, and both fell in love, I picked the smallest vinyl size and a cute photo of us on a Ferris wheel.

4. Book of Us

Reminiscers ALERT! If you love to look back at photos or go through your memory of the best times, you need a Book of your love. There are a few ways you could do this, a Picture book of 10 reasons why I love you, Coffee Table Book of us, Photo Album or the story of us DIY scrapbook for the least expensive option.

5. Date Idea Cards

This Date idea card box was a gift I got for my boyfriend, Carson, and we have used it a few times so far. You can draw a random card, choose from a category or pick and choose like we most often do. We made it our goal to do at least one of these dates a month. It's random and gets you to do a date you may not have thought of. We got this one from Amazon, 100 Date Night Ideas.

6. Lovers Artwork

My Boyfriend got me a canvas artwork of us, he printed a picture he had of us on a canvas at Walgreens. He got the picture from a TikTok AI filter. See the canvas and filter in this TikTok video. It's so sweet to have something a bit bigger than a 4x6 photo. You can also hire an artist to paint a photo or just get any cute photo of you two printed on a canvas.

7. Advent calendar

Why save Advent Calendars for Christmas? I had all the envy watching the viral Jewlery advent calendars in December and would die for a cute advent any time of year! I found this Wood Advent Calendar on Amazon, you could paint/ blingify/ decorate to your taste and throw in any cute little gift. Some small gift ideas would be: Jewlery, Candy, picture, love letter, nail polish, lipstick, a love note or a note to where a larger gift is hidden. Of course, you could ditch the Physical advent calendar and do the 12 Days until Valentines. Whether that's a gift every day for 12 days or opt for something less expensive such as, notes, candies, Door Dash lunch, pictures even a playoff #10 Polaroid love or a scheduled daily text.

8. Engraved Items

If you are shopping for a girl, jewelry is a go to, but here are a few cute items that are like a necklace he can carry around but, might fit his style a bit more: Key Chains, Watch, Metal Plate for wallet. Here is the link to the watch I got for my boyfriend off Etsy. I chose a cheeky phrase we have used since the beginning of our relationship to keep it simple but meaningful.

9. Memory Box

There are so many special moments in a relationship that you want to remember forever. If you or our partner are like me and has a terrible memory putting little memorabilia in a box to look back on later is the perfect gift! Get an old shoe box, left over amazon box, lock box from Walmart or a cute craft box from Michaels. You can leave the box plain or decorate it. Some ideas for what to put in your box: Tickets, Little notes, dried flowers, etc.

10. Polaroid Love

Whether you already have a Polaroid camera, or you are looking to jump on the bandwagon, this is the perfect gift. If you already have a polaroid camera, take cute Polaroids of yourself and write XOXO and other cheeky cute messages in sharpie on the bottom. If you don't have one, there's your gift, a polaroid camera. Carson got me the Polaroid Go it's a smaller camera to carry around. Polaroids are expensive, if you are looking for a cheaper option. You can just print smaller photos or edit your photo with a white frame and fake it ;) It's all the same cute effect <3

Below was a photoshoot I did for DIY Network with TomKat studio and Whippy Cake in 2013, giving the polaroid vibe while staying on a budget! You can see TomKat's blog post about it here!

11. Box of chocolate covered strawberries

Order an edible arrangement or make them yourself! Here is a how to make chocolate covered strawberries for a guide. Pinterest has endless adorable ideas such as this "Be my Valentine" box. There are also chocolate smash boxes, chocolate covered pretzels, cake pops, brownie box, etc.

12. Balloons Display

For a balloon picture display, grab some helium balloons, print off pictures and attach them to the bottom. You can also ditch the balloons and attach them to the ceiling. A balloon arch is another great idea.

13. Soda or Candy Bar Tower

If you have a boyfriend like mine who has an obsession with a favorite candy or soda, this is definitely the way to go. The candy bar tower was much easier than the soda tower, it may have helped to watch a tutorial since hot glue is apparently NOT strong enough to hold an entire soda can in place and E6000 glue takes FOREVER to dry not to mention how smelly it was. The Reese's I took two boxes and hot glued around them and stuffed the box with Reese's inside. The dollar store and Walmart have great accessories as well.

14. Pre-Pay for date

This is a great gift I've used time and time again. Whether you choose Concert tickets, Dance Class, Shopping Spree, Play, Opera or any gift card such as hotel, movie, bowling, roller blading, etc. With concert tickets or other online gift receipts, DIY your own to physically give them with a note explaining. Below are tickets I made for a concert with online tickets.

Whether you choose one of these ideas to show your love or send this blog post to your lover to hint and nudge them in the right direction hopefully this got your mind flowing, never is there a better time than now to show your love for your partner.

XOXO Hails <3
